It looks like the Crew ran out of money to fill out their second jersey. What is that? Chicago Fire 2012 jerseys are yet to be released

I think it looks alright
They could have transitioned the colors better on the away’s, instead of just abruptly stopping them with a thin black line. They kind of remind me of Dortmund’s kit though

One on the left is fine...
don’t like the one on the right. It does look odd to me. Would have looked neat I think if they would have brought the stripes all the way down. Hope to hear about our new jerseys soon (and hopefully a sponsor too).

Undecided
I saw drawings of the jerseys alone somewhere else and thought the away kit looked awful, but it looks much better with someone wearing it. It’s an improvement on the too-prevalent all-white away kits and manages to do something different without resorting to the space-age, cut-and-paste style common to a lot of other MLS kits. I always appreciate a kit that lets you know who’s playing as soon as you see it and I think this will do the job (though CC’s yellow home shirts have done that for a while). Anyways, not perfect, but I’m not against it.
The one on the left is pretty bland and boring.
The one on the left looks like the guy is wearing a shawl or something with a white shirt underneath. It’s just a mess.
Overall, these styles are pretty typical of the MLS. I hope there’s not too much change to the Fire kits. Maybe I’m just being a homer, but the Fire easily have one of the best looking kits in the league.
In the second line I meant right…not left.
Btw, the more I look at that jersey on the right, the more angry I get. It has a weird optical illusion effect. I hope the Crew loose every game they play in those platypus abortions. UGH!

Taking a second look,
I also hate the jersey on the left. I absolutely DESPISE any soccer jersey that includes a collar. It’s like you are trying to mix sports and dress up clothes. I just don’t get the point. I don’t think it looks any better. I suppose if you are a collar popper then it doubles as a sports shirt and a nightclub shirt, but other than that I just don’t get collars. End of rant.
