Tweet of the day (and it's not even noon) thanks to Revs President
If you don't follow New England Revolution President Brian Bilello on Twitter, you probably should. Last night the Revs unveiled their hideous jerseys and announced that Shalrie Joseph is returning to the team in 2012. After a barrage of tweets on how horrible their new jerseys are, Brian sent this out this morning:
"Consensus is that most #revs fans like the jersey and really like that SJ21 is back but #cf97 fans don't like our team, our jerseys or me."
That sounds about right. One of the great rivalries in the MLS already gearing up for 2012.

God those are awful
Adidas hasn’t exactly been on fire with kit designs this year across all leagues
UMD Bulldogs: 2011 NCAA Hockey Nat'l Champions; 2009 & 2011 NCAA DII Football Nat'l Champions
"Terry's down, oh my! Van Persie all by himself now, around Cech, and that'll do it!"
Revolution seem stuck on their design. Not sure how much adidas is to blame for this one but yeah, they are bad.

Definitely not a Revs fan
But I don’t think the jerseys are that bad. Some people have compared them to various unflattering ‘96 looks, but I think that’s an exaggeration. It’s not monochrome like so many MLS jerseys, but it’s not crazy futuristic franken-jersey like so many recent kits.
Not as bad as the’96 looks… but that’s about it IMO.

I agree that they’re not bad. I would even say that they are an upgrade over the old kits in the way that drinking 5 O’clock Vodka is an upgrade from drinking nail polish remover; it’s slightly more palatable, but it still makes me want to vomit.
What is up with adidas and their odd/over use of white on some of these new kits? Did the person in charge of ordering supplies misplace a comma and now they got to get rid of it all?
I hope the Fire don’t change what they got too much. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing a bit of a throwback.
Also, I’m not a fan of the flag looking thing on the back of the new Revs jersey.
