First thing that stands out to me

The month of June. 6 games in a little over 3 weeks (22 days). Starting with Seattle and ending with New York, with their longest road trip (in terms of games played) in between. And it’s all right before the halfway point of the season.

August has a lot of games packed in, too

But I think the competition in June is a little tougher

by Mark O'Rourke on Feb 10, 2011 4:47 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah I'm going to have to dig deeper into this

I know that I saw some complaints that LA had a lot of June games too and only a couple in September. I think that might a league design because summer games are better attended than September and October ones. There is also the consideration for teams that play in the CONCAF Champions League with September games. MLS wants to improve there.

With the schedule coming out

Does that mean that the season tickets will be printed and sent soon. This is my first year being a season ticket holder, and I was wondering when I can expect my tickets in hand. Im excited for the season.

Last year the schedule came out earlier

and many fans got their tickets the week of the home opener and that was in April. The team claimed it was because Jon Busch was let go so his picture had to be removed from the tickets but I’m not sure I buy that. Hopefully you will get yours in March but who knows sadly.

USMNT Allocation Order

The allocation ranking is the mechanism used to determine which MLS club has first priority to acquire a U.S. National Team player who signs with MLS after playing abroad, or a former MLS player who returns to the League after having gone to a club abroad for a transfer fee. The allocation rankings may also be used in the event two or more clubs file a request for the same player on the same day. The allocations will be ranked in reverse order of finish for the 2010 season, taking playoff performance into account.

Once the club uses its allocation ranking to acquire a player, it drops to the bottom of the list. A ranking can be traded, provided that part of the compensation received in return is another club’s ranking. At all times, each club is assigned one ranking. The rankings reset at the end of each MLS League season.
