Chicago Fire vs. Red Bulls pre-season games streamed live starting at 10:00 AM CST
You can watch the Chicago Fire in action this morning as the New York Red Bulls are live streaming the two exhibition matches the two teams are playing this morning at Lockhart Stadium. I wish it were the Fire that were doing the live streaming but something is better than nothing, right? Can someone explain to me what a 'tilt' is? I always thought that meant you didn't install a shelf correctly but the Red Bulls seem to think they are going to live stream it.

Fire reserves win 4-2...
Take that John Rooney! Only got to see bits and pieces of the reserve game, can’t wait for the main squad game to start.

I watched most of both games.
I thought the reserve team played very well. Pressured the ball, controlled the tempo, and held the ball most of the game. Orr Barouch looked real solid, pushing the pace, and becoming a hasle for the defense and ended up having 4 goals.
The first team game started off terrible. I dont know if the Fire looked that bad or NY was that good. They moved the ball with speed and prescion leading to a goal. It looked like the Fire just let them get into scoring position before trying to defend. Didnt pressure the ball much.
The second half looked like a completly different team. They were fast, solid defensively, and pressured constantly. For me 2 players stood out and made things happen. Nyarko looked awesome. Every time he was on the ball he looked great. And the other was Pappa. It also seemed like they have a really good chemistry. They were making plays for each other that the defense had no chance of stoping.
All in all it was a pretty good performance. I hope Nyarko and Pappa keep it up. Im pulling for both of them to have outstanding years.
I didn't get to see most of the first game...
I watched the second, and you’re right, it was a tale of two halves. I did want to see us push the ball more at times in the regulars game. I think we had the ball too many times in the NYRB half in open field, and various players on the ball pushed ahead too slowly at times. I wanted us to all break towards the goal, and sometimes they laid back. Overall they did very well the 2nd half.
I agree on Pappa and Nyarko. We missed A LOT of crosses from the wing into the box by a good margin, except for Nyarko. For the most part, almost every cross he had created some opportunities for someone. I think Ferrari also looked good. Gaston didn’t do a whole lot, and I thought Anibaba looked good. Now if we could only convert our PK’s…
And, I had to turn the sound off because the NYRB announcers were so horrible. Sega should have drawn a clear PK, and one of the announcers even said “wow” when it wasn’t called. Then, 30 seconds later, they were both saying how it shouldn’t have been a PK and giving credit to the ref because most other MLS refs would have called that, according to them. To me that says it should have been a clear PK then, and it was rightly given. They also felt they were cheated on the actual PK given, despite a clear foul in the box. I think I would have rather listened to the game if the Boom Goes the Dynamite kid was doing it over these two clowns that called the game.
Overall, I cam away happy with the first team game. Considering all the new faces and limited playing time together, they held their own pretty well I think.

Great Summary
Yoximar, Barrouch, Ferrari, I would like to see signed. These kids are young (18, 20, 22 respectively) and making an impact already.
Nyarko and Pappa have been looking really good.
The rest still have big question marks in my mind. Can’t wait to see Chavez.
Barrouch signed
Per UANL’s twitter, he was signed to a 1 year loan with an option to buy.
