Houston Dynamo vs. Chicago Fire Game Thread - MLS #6
The Chicago Fire come into tonight's game on a skid having lost three straight to the Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers, and a depleted LA Galaxy team. The Men in Red look to turn it around tonight against a Houston Dynamo squad that is heading into tonight's match with back to back wins. The two teams split last year's matches. Coincidentally last year's game at Toyota Park was on April 24th and the Fire also wore the green socks for Earth Day. Chicago won 2-0. The Dynamo got revenge in the 2nd matchup, notching a 4-3 victory on August 21st, 2010. Follow me after the break for a few quick thoughts and my projected lineups. Join us tonight on the game thread and share your thoughts and insight during the match.
Yesterday was Earth Day and the Fire will be wearing white jerseys with a special logo to commemorate. I think they should always wear their red jerseys at home. They could have a special green armband if having a green logo on a red jersey doesn't work well, I would just prefer that we not wear our away kit at home. Here are my projected lineups for the Fire and Dynamo, respectively:
Projected Fire starting XI:
Conway, Anibaba, Mikulic, Cuesta, Segares, Pause, Husidic, Pappa, Nyarko, Puerari, Chaves
Projected Dynamo Starting XI (hat tip to Dynamo Theory):
Hall, Freeman, Boswell, Hainault, Ashe, Palmer, Davis, Clark, Cameron, Weaver, Bruin
I am going to predict Pappa to net a goal and Chaves to bag a brace. 3-1 Fire.
Tradition. Honor. Passion. Let's go Fire!

Pretty straight forward lineups
Except for Puerari getting a rest. Will be interesting to see how that plays out and how Baggio helps offensively.
