ESPN: Real Salt Lake is the 10th Best Soccer Team in the World
Leander Schaerlaeckens ranks Real Salt Lake as the 10th best soccer team in the world... at least Monterrey is ranked 8th. I've never seen Schaerlaeckens rankings before but this is a bit much. Real Salt Lake is a good team but better than Manchester City? Inter Milan? Bayern Munich? Those are just three teams right off the bat I'd say no on. Your thoughts?

Hahaha. Dude check this out
I got this tweeted at me by an RSL fan and cracked up when I saw what it was.
Wasting_Time801 “@thelosthooligan I see #RSL but I don’t see Rapids. I wonder why? ”http://es.pn/iUGEXn" target="_blank">http://es.pn/iUGEXn haha stupid asshole"
Who is the asshole NOW?
Yeah, better than Bayern, I think not. And the fact that no South American teams appear on these “world Power Rankings” should be a dead giveaway…
Yeah that list has to be a joke...
I am pretty sure even the bottom 3 EPL teams would absolutely humiliate any MLS team. It would be great someday to have MLS sides that could compete regularly against La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, EPL teams, etc. but that day is far off. The league has come far in the first 15 years, but we are a long way off from European talent.
Imagine Monterrey or RSL playing Barca in the FIFA Club World Cup. They would be doing good to “only” concede 7 or 8 goals against teams like that. Or against any other team that will make the Club World Cup, for that matter.

Tradition. Honor. Passion.
Haha
Good for a laugh. I’m a little disappointed that more people aren’t crying about Arsenal not making the list. The Gunners are one of the top EPL teams despite their shortcomings again this season.
My top 10: Barca, Real Madrid, ManU, Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern, Shakhtar, Valencia, Shalke, Inter
I think even most Championship sides could easily take on RSL. Maybe they could snag a result against Crystal Palace, Preston North End or another borderline bottom of the table squad like that but a team like QPR would probably smash them.
Or Nottingham Forest, just so I can laugh when Robbie Findley scores a hat trick on them.

It makes sense
You have DeMerit captaining a Championship side for awhile and then he comes to the Whitecaps and he is by far one of their highest paid players.
