Chicago Fire vs. New England Revolution - MLS #15: Gamethread 6:30 PM CST on CSN
The Chicago Fire enter today's game on the heels of their first win since March 26th. New England lost four games in a row before stopping the bleeding on Wednesday with a tie against Toronto FC. Frank Klopas hopes the team can continue the current 286 minute opposition shutout streak dating back to May 28th when San Jose's Chris Wondolowoski scored a 74th minute header.
To go for a second consecutive win, the interim head coach will trust essentially the same crew that defeated Columbus last week. The starting XI is Sean Johnson; Jalil Anibaba, Yamith Cuesta, Cory Gibbs, Gonzalo Segares; Dominic Oduro, Logan Pause, Baggio Husidic, Patrick Nyarko; Diego Chaves, Cristian Nazarit. The only difference in last week's lineup was Gaston Puerari started in the place of Nazarit. Obviously Gaston is out of the lineup due to the fact he isn't with the team anymore. For more of a preview, check out our question exchange with The Bent Musket.
I'm feeling confident tonight. We have historically dominated New England and everything is coming together for Chicago. Fire 2 - New England Revolution 1.

Pappa watch: Guatemala is up 1-0 over Mexico at halftime. If Guatemala loses, Pappa comes back. They win, Pappa will continue to be out.
