Chicago Fire vs. Rochester Rhinos - USOC #3: Gamethread 6:35 PM CST on HTIOT

Frank Klopas is rolling the dice a little bit by having a starting XI of the following:

Sean Johnson; Bratislav Ristic, Josip Mikulic, Dasan Robinson, Pari Pantazopoulos; Gabriel Ferrari, Michael Videira, Daniel Paladini, Corben Bone; Diego Chaves, Cristian Nazarit

I am sympathetic to injuries and rest but this is a lot of new parts that aren't used to each other.  Let's hope some of the gambles pay off.  The bench is made up of Jon Conway, Jalil Anibaba, Baggio Husidic, Davis Paul, Patrick Nyarko, Dominic Oduro and Orr Barouch.  Look for a quick insertion of the first team players if the Fire go down a goal or two.  The video below should stream between 6:35 PM CST and whenever the game ends.  For more of a preview of the game and information on the Rhinos, check out the three questions exchange

It's time to make the Fire what they use to be.  Let's go Kings of the Cup.

Halftime – Fire up 1-0 at the break. Dodged a bullet when the Rhinos didn’t score first.

Rhinos will need to find a second gear in the second half.

Does Rochester ever commit a foul in this game?

Clearly an infraction that should have been called on Nyarko’s tackle

And apparently announcer knows nothing about the Fire...

said they have had trouble holding leads all year. Maybe he meant to say we have trouble scoring all year unless we are behind? We rarely have had leads this year

Good gritty win tonight...

it wasn’t pretty, you could argue we didn’t play well enough to win, but it’s about damn time we win a game like that. We have played good games this year to only come away with a draw or loss. About time we won a game like this. Great work by everyone tonight, especially Chaves, Nyarko, the defense, and SJ.

USMNT Allocation Order

The allocation ranking is the mechanism used to determine which MLS club has first priority to acquire a U.S. National Team player who signs with MLS after playing abroad, or a former MLS player who returns to the League after having gone to a club abroad for a transfer fee. The allocation rankings may also be used in the event two or more clubs file a request for the same player on the same day. The allocations will be ranked in reverse order of finish for the 2010 season, taking playoff performance into account.

Once the club uses its allocation ranking to acquire a player, it drops to the bottom of the list. A ranking can be traded, provided that part of the compensation received in return is another club’s ranking. At all times, each club is assigned one ranking. The rankings reset at the end of each MLS League season.

2012 Allocation Order

1. Vancouver Whitecaps

2. New England Revolution
