Well that's certainly disappointing...
however, my confidence wasn’t all that high to begin with given the lack of (or seeming lack of) the desire to spend money or sign a striker. At least we stay near the top of the allocation list. And if we finish as poorly as we have been playing, then we may move up higher. So theoretically at some point, we will actually get a big name player.
It is also possible Eddie wanted too much and the deal just wouldn’t have been a good one. Guillermo Rivera tweeted earlier today that we wouldn’t have taken Eddie had he fallen to us anyway. This would lead me to believe he wanted too much money, or the team passed on him for some unknown or ridiculous reason.
