Chicago Fire vs. Richmond Kickers - USOC #5 - 7:30 PM CST - Streaming Live

Tonight's game kicks off at 7:30 PM CST and will be streamed live on www.chicago-fire.com

Richmond Kickers:

Richmond is coming off a 3-0 loss to Orlando City in the USL PRO Semi-Finals.  To anyone who thinks they took it easy going into the U.S. Open Cup game tonight, the Starting XIs they used against Columbus Crew in the 3rd round, Kansas City in the Quarterfinals, and Orlando City for the USL PRO Semi-Finals and more analysis is after the break along with your in-game comments.

Star-divide

6/28/2011 vs. Columbus Crew: Pascale, Gorres, Kalungi, Yomby, Hertel, Vercollone, Wallace, Heins (87'), Hiroyama (54'), Nyazamba (78'), Delicate

Subs: Elcock, Bangura, Bulow

7/12/2011 vs. Sporting KC: Pascale, Gorres, Kalungi, Yomby, Hertel, Heins, dos Santos (45'), Callahan (65'), Nyazmaba (65'), Elcock, Bangura

Subs: Vercollone, Bulow, Wallace

8/27/2011 vs. Orlando City: Pascale, Gorres, Kalungi, Yomby, Vercollone, Callahan, Hiroyama, Wallace, Elcock, Heins, Delicate

Subs: dos Santos, Bulow, Bangura

Jeff Crandall is reporting that Richmond's David Bulow is out due to yellow card accumulation.  As Adam Soucie mentioned in his Q&A preview with us, Bulow is one of the USOC all-time scoring leaders and a major supersub for Richmond's squad.  The Fire might be tired from Saturday but there are little excuses as Richmond used their best players on Saturday night too.

Chicago Fire

The one wrinkle for Chicago is they have to limit the international players on their gameday roster to 5.  Marko Maric is out so I'm guessing two of Cristian Nazarit, Yamith Cuesta and Josip Mikulic will be out today.  That's not too bad but it does tie Frank Klopas' hands a little bit.

If Chicago wins and FC Dallas defeats Seattle tonight, the U.S. Open Cup Final comes to Toyota Park for the first time since 2006.  Let's do this again.  #kingsofthecup

Halftime 1-0 Fire...

Played much better in last 15 minutes. Very physical game, the ref apparently doesn’t call anything beyond a blatant foul. I unfortunately have to leave for the second half but will be following along via mobile. Let’s go Fire, 45 more minutes to go!

USMNT Allocation Order

The allocation ranking is the mechanism used to determine which MLS club has first priority to acquire a U.S. National Team player who signs with MLS after playing abroad, or a former MLS player who returns to the League after having gone to a club abroad for a transfer fee. The allocation rankings may also be used in the event two or more clubs file a request for the same player on the same day. The allocations will be ranked in reverse order of finish for the 2010 season, taking playoff performance into account.

Once the club uses its allocation ranking to acquire a player, it drops to the bottom of the list. A ranking can be traded, provided that part of the compensation received in return is another club’s ranking. At all times, each club is assigned one ranking. The rankings reset at the end of each MLS League season.
