Chicago Fire Away Jerseys for 2012 - thoughts? Far away it looks like a New England Revolution jersey but closer up it looks like it's own thing. Excited to see a real jersey.

I definitely agree that it looks too much like the Revs at first glance, but I do like the pattern within the stripes.
On the one hand, I’m glad to see a change in the kits; however, I’m sad to see the white jersey with the Chicago flag go, and I don’t think this is a worthy replacement. Maybe it’ll grow on me, but at the moment – thumbs down.
Good, different look. This is the shirt to experiment with, NOT the primary.

that’s a good point. why not keep the classic, experiment with everything else. It will be interesting to see how the fan base takes it over time. Some love it right away

I like this jersey. I feel like blue has been neglected as a secondary color and is a good choice for the away kit, especially with so many teams sporting white on the road (though, what happens when they play at home against NE or Philly, who have similar-looking dark blues? Will there be a third kit or will they wear red?). However, I’m not crazy about the blue stripe instead of white on the home shirt; I think the quaker logo looks better against blue, but the overall jersey looks better with white. And, like most, I’m not nuts about the blue collar. If they wanted a collar, if they had made it red it would’ve stood out less.
That being said, I’m just glad to have a new sponsor with a decent deal. And, in the end, you’re still slapping a billboard on a jersey, so it’s often going to look a little odd.
Haven’t they worn red at Philly and at Foxboro even with the white kit?
