"Dynamo backup goalkeeper Tyler Deric, who overcame alcohol problems to earn a contract with the club in 2009, was arrested late Saturday night and charged with assault on a public servant at a Houston bar. The 6-foot-3, 188-pound Deric, 23, is accused of "causing bodily injury" to a police officer identified as "R. Perez," by the criminal complaint. The complaint filed by the Houston Police Department also states that Deric was thrown to the ground and arrested."
