Today is a great day to be a Fire fan. Although Chris Rolfe won't be able to make his debut today, the game will be on NBC Sports, and it is certainly a match that we can get 3 points out of. However, the Men in Red can't afford to overlook Toronto either. Although winless, they will no doubt be in desperation mode. And that's a dangerous mode for any team to face. Despite this, the Fire definitely could use 3 points to get some confidence back. As long as there is not torrential rain and lightning, I like our chances today.
Other than Rolfe, the Fire are pretty healthy heading into this game. Toronto gets a big boost in the form of Torsten Frings returning to the lineup (although there is some debate in Toronto whether he will play on the backline or in midfield). Toronto is however missing a key player in Danny Koevermans, which will be a boost to the Fire not having him out on the pitch.
I am picking a 3-1 Fire win today. I am going with Oduro, Nyarko, and Pappa for goals. I think Plata nets one for Toronto FC. 3 points will be a very welcome sight in Fire Land after the past couple of games. As always, starting lineups will be posted when announced. Please join us for the mayhem that is a Fire gamethread. And Ruben, I hope you have your best goal scoring pictures ready to post when the Fire put the ball in the back of the net. Let's go Men in Red!
