Next Wednesday provides a rare opportunity for Fire fans to catch a weekday afternoon game. The Chicago Fire are traveling to New Jersey to take on the New York Red Bulls. A couple of Hot Time In Old Town writers will be taking in the game at Mother Hubbard's which is located at 5 W. Hubbard in Chicago (intersection of Hubbard & State). Kick-off is at 12:00 PM but there will be people there a little earlier. We'll be staying through the entire game. This should be a nice chance to put faces to the user names on the site (both for you and for us). Even if you just lurk, that's great too.

Bring along friends, co-workers, and if you dare, your boss. This also is a nice opportunity to show off Chicago Fire Soccer Club culture to people who might not normally check it out. Plus, it's always nice to have a good excuse to get out of the office during the Chicago summer. We hope to see you there and here are the full details.

How: Mother Hubbard's is located 2 blocks south of the Grand Red Line stop, 1 block north and 3 blocks east of the Merchandise Mart Brown Line stop, 4 blocks north of the State/Lake Brown, Pink, Green, and Orange Line stop, 4 blocks north of the lake Blue Line stop, not to mention bus routes, Metra, etc. You basically can't use transportation as an excuse not to make it.
