Another Chicago Fire off-season signing has apparently left the club.
Millonarios Fútbol Club of Colombia has announced that midfielder Rafael Robayo will return to his old club. Robayo previously played for the Embajadores from 2005 to 2011.
Robayo struggled to fit in with the Fire, playing 16 matches for the club, but only three of those appearances were starts. He did not manage to score a goal in MLS play.
This move comes a day after the club officially signed Dutch striker Sherjill MacDonald as a designated player and sent another off-season signing, striker Federico Puppo, on loan to Uruguyan side Defensor Sporting.
If the move is completed, the Fire will now have one open international slot and one open DP spot.
