Roger Bennett recently published an article on ESPN about the effect of the FIFA franchise on soccer's popularity in the US. I'm not sure if you saw this article or not, but according to FIFA 2012, the Chicago Fire are the most popular soccer team in North Dakota! Now to work on Illinois... and convert some Barcelona fans over.
