Chicago Fire To Play Club America

Kevin C. Cox

This summer will once again see a friendly at Toyota Park

On Wednesday, July 10th the Men in Red will face off against a club with quite a bit of world renown. As most of you probably know, Club America, or Club de Fútbol América S.A. de C.V. to be correct, is a huge Mexican club that plays in Liga MX.They also play their home games in a little 'ol place called Estadio Azteca, also known as Aztec Stadium.

While the topic of friendlies can sometimes be a hot button issue with Fire supporters, overall I feel they are good for the club and all involved. It gives fans a chance to see a famous team in person they normally wouldn't be able to. And it will also hopefully fill seats in what has been a rather empty Toyota Park so far this year.

The match is set to kick off at 7:30 PM, with tickets starting as low as $25. Head over to the official Fire website to get your tickets now.
