San Jose did what the Fire could not this week - beat the Philadelphia UnionChris Wondolowski headed the ball off a Arturo Alvarez cross in the 68th minute.  That's all she wrote and the playoffs just keep slipping away...

In CONCACAF Champions League play, Real Salt Lake roundly defeated Toronto FC 4-1Kyle Beckerman (21'), Olave (40'), Saborio (69'), and Araujo (80') all scored for RSL.  Maicon Santos (8') provided the goal for TFC.  Mista managed to get a red card (66') after being on the field for 6 minutes.  Gotta love that style of play.  TFC out fouled RSL 18-7 in a game that mirrored our September 8th matchup with the Canadians except for you know, the goals being scored.  Real Salt Lake is tied for first in their CONCACAF Champions League group now.  Let's hope RSL is all goal scored out for Saturday's game against us.
