Jalil Anibaba and Frank Klopas will miss Friday's game against Chivas USA

Pre or post reason for dismissal? You decide.
Pre or post reason for dismissal? You decide.

From the team: "The Chicago Fire learned after Saturday's match against Seattle Sounders FC - via the referee's standard game report - that Fire head coach Frank Klopas was dismissed and defender Jalil Anibaba was red carded for his challenge in the seventh minute of second half stoppage time. They will both be suspended for the next game, at Chivas USA on Friday, May 4."

It was later revealed by Chicago Fire team writer Jeff Crandall that Frank Klopas was 'dismissed' for language. Chicago assistant coach Mike Matkovich or Leo Percovich figure to coach the Fire on Friday. It's interesting to note that both men have coached for Chivas USA before. Rookie defender Austin Berry is first in line to start in Jalil Anibaba's place. This incident could speed up a move to trade some offensive depth for some defensive depth.

The Seattle Sounders escape any discipline for now. Anibaba and Klopas will be out for actions related to the game. The MLS Disciplinary Committee has yet to weigh in and will almost certainly do so. Their decision(s) will be out later this week.
