After a few weeks of very little MLS activity, we had a full slate this past weekend. The Fire move up two spots after an impressive 4...errr 3-1 over the New York Red Bulls. Inconsistency from previous games would make a one spot jump seem more reasonable.

SB Nation Power Rankings

Team Avg. LW
1. RSL 1.22 1.18
2. Earthquakes 2.89 3.41
3. Sporting KC 3.28 4.29

5. Sounders 5.72 3.76
6. Red Bulls 6.5 4.53

8. Fire 8.17 10.06
9. Dynamo 8.83 8.06
10. Rapids 9.89 8.65
11. Crew 11.17 10.88
12. Revolution 11.89 12.53
13. Impact 13.11 14.94
14. Galaxy 13.89 15.29
15. Chivas USA 14.06 12.18

17. FC Dallas 16.89 15.47
18. Union 18.06 18.24
19. Toronto FC 18.56 18.65

Real Salt Lake get stronger at number one. San Jose stays at number two even with the bye week. Sporting KC and DC United leap frog Seattle. Sporting and DC had "easy" wins while Seattle got beat down by the Montreal Impact. A puzzling rank was given to the Houston Dynamo who won their game against FC Dallas. They were ranked seventh in the previous edition, but now they have dropped to ninth place. Chivas USA drops 3 spots and are the biggest losers of the week.

Do you agree with the 8th place ranking the Fire have received? Do you think any teams should be higher/lower then where they are currently?
