Toyota Park figures to be rocking tonight for a sold out game against a familiar and hated foe. Let me put it this way: if you are a Fire fan and are not excited for this game, you might want to check your pulse. There is a lot on the line as we head into the final few games of the season. 3 points tonight would be massive for the Fire and put a bit of space between us and New York, DC, and Houston.

Fortunately we will be playing tonight in a place that has been an impenetrable fortress for East teams the past couple of years. To me, that will be the tipping point in this match- the Toyota Park faithful. I expect a loud, rowdy crowd on hand tonight. If the Fire offense can continue to hum along, as well as shut down a dangerous Crew attack, we should be sitting on 53 points when the night ends.

As usual, we invite you to join us here on the gamethread. Lineups will be posted when announced. I am going with a tough, gritty, 1-0 Fire win. I think Sherjill will grab a goal and continue his fine form. Let's go Fire!
