Kellen Gulley? A Champion? Maybe.

The Chicago Fire might be done for 2013, but one Fire player can still win some silverware.

The Chicago Fire's 2013 season is in the books, but Chicago Fire forward, Kellen Gulley, has two more chances to get playing time in and a chance to win some silverware while on loan with the Atlanta Silverbacks. The Silverbacks will host the New York Cosmos in their season finale on Saturday, November 2nd and then again a week later for the 2013 NASL Soccer Bowl on Saturday, November 7th.

Gulley, who has been on loan to Atlanta since April 1st, played 26 minutes last Saturday as a second half substitute. Prior to his last appearance, Gulley had only played 11 minutes in all of 2013. Like his Fire teammates in New York this weekend, Gulley and the Silverbacks got thrashed by the Carolina Railhawks 4-1.

After winning the NASL Spring Season, the Silverbacks have struggled in the Fall Season as they currently sit 6th in the table. The Silverbacks have only won once since the start of October and have conceded 10 goals in their last two matches.

Five other players on MLS rosters made appearances with NASL clubs over this week. Four of those players made the starting lineup and played the full 90 minutes. Gulley had the least amount of minutes out of all MLS players on loan.

The NASL Soccer Bowl will be televised (sort of) on ESPN 3 and ESPN Deportes on November 7th, 2013 at 6:30 cst.
