Fire Fridays Campaign Set To Kick Off

Fans have been asking for the team to try to establish a much larger footprint throughout the city to raise visibility and attract new supporters

To the credit of the fine folks in the Fire marketing department, a new group of events is going to take place in bars across the city. While many of us are no doubt familiar with soccer friendly Chicago bars (and likely have our own favorite watering hole), it's safe to say that the Fire could certainly benefit from a much larger presence in and around the city. I thin this new Fire Fridays campaign can help do just that.

Basically, how it works is that the team has partnered with area bars. The setup will feature Fire clothing worn on Fridays, as well as a happy hour that will feature Fire players, partners, front office staff, and of course the most important part of the club, the supporters. These events will take place ahead of each weekend home match this summer and fall. It will be a great way to hang out with friends, mingle with players/staff/FO personnel, and get a chance to meet new supporters and supporter groups. And it gets each bar involved in really giving some much needed visibility for the Fire. While the regulars will no doubt attend the events, it will be nice when a regular customer walks into a bar and sees a sea of Fire red.

Here is the official press release from the club with all the details. Please make it to as many dates as you can, and help make this new program a smashing success.
