Just like when we looked at Fire fan's views of when Yallop brought in Kennedy Igboananike, we take a look at your take on signing Naperville's own Michael Stephens.
@firefan1998 solid rotation option with chance to be more. Had a good year at stabaek. Chicago guy. Whats not to like? #stephenstocf97

@firefan1998 @HotTimeOldTown Slow on FIFA15, but decent in a DM role. #cf97

@firefan1998 @HotTimeOldTown pro. Does not excuse treatment of Joya, does fill more minutes reliably with less upside potential

I think he can do well covering for nyarko as he gets past injuries, and is the kind of personality we need #stephenstocf97 #cf97

As for my take on this signing, he is a good pick up and will add to the talent of the squad. Is he the big-name DP that fans have been clamoring for? Of course not, but he will bring a blue-collar attitude to the team every time he takes the field. If he comes in off the bench to replace a midfielder I would expect him to be ahead of Alex and Matt Watson. Stephens reminds of a better Paladini-type player that is not afraid of doing the dirty work in midfield and can also add an assist from time to time. Yallop and Bliss I say kudos to you for bringing in a player like Stephens to help fill the roster.
