Well yesterday was an intense day as a Fire fan. Berry and Puppo are gone while no one has any idea on what will happen with Magee's contract. I would rant a little bit more but hey, at least we aren't Chivas USA fans.
D.C. United Get a Sponsor
Leidos, a government contractor from the D.C. area has become the sponsor of D.C. United. The team also releases their new jerseys at the same and they are simple - too bad we don't know what simple jerseys look like. This is a good move for the team though as it will give them some cash while hopefully showing the area that there are businesses committed to the team so that they can get themselves a stadium.
More Chivas USA Fallout
The Goat Parade, the SB Nation blog for Chivas USA, did a great piece on Vergara's legacy with Chivas USA and how it went from a promising franchise to a complete mess. It is definitely worth a read.
Henry Stands Up For MLS
In an interview with ESPNFC.com, Henry defended the quality of the league and argued against the negative perceptions that people in Europe have. It's great to see Henry taking his time here seriously and stand up for the league.
MLS CBA Negiotiations
The always impressive Jeremiah Oshan gives a great preview of the CBA negotiations. This is going to be an interesting process and I'm sure there will be much more talk about this in the months to come.
