According to French media reports, Chicago Red Stars and USWNT midfielder Morgan Brian will be headed to France to play with Olympique Lyonnais, pending a physical.
Morgan Brian à l'OL : c'est signé. Contrat de deux ans et demi pour l'Américaine. Il ne reste simplement que la visite médicale à passer.

Morgan Brian arrived in Chicago back in August after a whirlwind trade between the Red Stars and the Houston Dash. Kristie Mews who spent only 10 days as a Red Star after being traded from Washington Spirit, was sent to Houston in exchange for Brian and ‘future considerations’ for and from both teams depending on if certain criteria were met via the trade.
Kristie Mewis scored a goal in her one appearance with the Red Stars, helping to maintain playoff positioning for the Red Stars in the latter half of the season. Morgan Brian played just under 90 minutes over 2 matches for Chicago as she has struggled with injuries during the last two seasons.
Pending her physical, the new contract with Lyon is estimated to be around two and half years, which would lead well into the U.S. National Team cycle with the World Cup in 2019 hosted by France, and the 2020 Olympics hosted by Tokyo. The potential contract has not been officially confirmed by either club side at the moment.
Was told Chicago Red Stars have no official statement regarding Morgan Brian/OL LYON at this time. However, they send best wishes to the newlyweds.

With the NWSL off-season in full swing and the draft approaching in January, those “future considerations” could begin to reveal themselves as this deal progresses.
We will provide further updates as the story unfolds.
