Chicago Fire forward Nemanja Nikolic was selected for the 2017 MLS Best XI on Thursday.

The MLS Best XI recognizes the league’s best player at each position. Media members, MLS players and MLS technical staffs determine the team each season.

Nikolic made waves in his first season in MLS, scoring 24 goals and taking home the Golden Boot. Additionally, the 29-year-old recorded 4 assists, and appeared in all 34 of Chicago’s regular season games.

Beyond the Best XI and Golden Boot, Nikolic has also been named the Chicago Fire Most Valuable Player, finished second in the 2017 MLS Newcomer of the Year voting and is one of the five finalists for the MLS Most Valuable Player — which will be announced on Monday, Dec. 4.
