The World Cup winner is scheduled to land at O’Hare International Airport at roughly 6:30 p.m. tonight and the Fire have invited fans to help welcome him to the United States.
This will be the first opportunity that the Chicago faithful will have to interact with their latest designated player, and, as with the arrival of Nemanja Nikolic, the club will certainly be hoping to make a good first impression on their new star.
Fire fans have also been invited to Schweinsteiger’s introductory press conference Wednesday, per the announcement. The press conference will be held at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch, and will begin at 3 p.m.
Those not in attendance can watch the press conference live on CSN+ and on the club’s official website.
