Red Stars 1, Kansas City 0: Woman of the Match

With a solid 1-0 win over FCKC in the books, we want you to rate the Red Stars’ players and choose your woman of the match.

Whee! After a disappointing loss last week to start the 2017 NWSL season, the Red Stars got back on track in the home opener by beating FC Kansas City 1-0. It’s exactly the result this team needed, and will hopefully cleanse the palette from last week and give them a nice boost for next week’s trip to Portland. The lone goal of the match came courtesy of Julie Ertz, transitioning from central defender to #10 and performing surprisingly well in that role. Unsurprisingly, she’s our pick for WOTM.
