Djrodje Mihailovic and Collin Fernandez were selected Sunday by Under-20 United States Men’s National Team coach Tab Ramos for the team’s upcoming training camp.
The Under-20s will train in London from April 3-10 and will play a series of scrimmages while abroad. Mihailovic and Fernandez, both Homegrown players with the Fire, were two of the 25 players selected to make the trip across the pond.
Fernandez signed his Homegrown contract on Aug. 28, 2014 coming out of the Fire’s youth academy. He is currently on loan with Chicago’s USL affiliate Tulsa Roughnecks FC, and has impressed in the first two games of second division team’s season.
18-year-old Mihailovic signed a homegrown contract on Jan. 27, and is currently on the first-team roster. He made his professional debut as a late substitution in Chicago’s 2-0 win against Real Salt Lake in the Fire’s home opener on March 11.
