Hot Time Is Looking For A Social Media Person To Help Out With Red Stars Coverage

Red Stars bloggers also welcome!

Back in February we put out a call for new contributors to fill out our bullpen of excellent young writers. We’re happy to say we’ve brought in some talented bloggers to help out with Fire matchday coverage and midweek features. We’re pleased with the current Hot Time roster for the MLS season, and we think you’ll love what we’ve got in store this year!

We also added Sandra Herrera to the Red Stars desk, and her match previews have already made our WoSo coverage richer. But we’re still looking for help with CRS matchday coverage, and if you’d like to contribute to Chicago WoSo we’d love to have you onboard!

In particular we’re looking for help with the social media aspect of our Red Stars matchday coverage. Twitter, primarily, although we’re looking to expand into other platforms like Snapchat. We also welcome contributors who’d like to help out with CRS matchday coverage and/or would like to write about the team during the week.

We are a volunteer shop and thus, unfortunately, cannot offer any pay. I really wish we could, because writers and social media managers deserve to be paid for their work. But if you have the time and the inclination, and are excited to help build and reinforce a thriving community around women’s soccer in Chicago, we would be deeply grateful for your time and labor.

Interested parties must be 18 and over. Priority consideration will be given to women, writers of color, and LGBTQ folks.
