Red Stars 1, Seattle 0: Woman of the Match

Chicago survived extreme heat and a strong Seattle midfield to secure their 3rd win in a row. Now, we want you to rate the Red Stars’ players and choose your Woman of the Match.

Three! Three wins in a row! Ah ah ah ah ah! Despite 90 degree temperatures and resistance from one of the best midfields in the league, the Chicago Red Stars managed to nail down a characteristic 1-0 win over Seattle. The Red Stars head into the international break with a 3-game winning streak, which is as good a way to head into a bye week as any. Taylor Comeau got her first start of the season (replacing the injured Arin Gilliland) and proved herself indispensible, keeping the back line rock solid and breaking up attacks to help preserve the win. She more than deserves our WOTM nod this week.
