Orlando City 0, Fire 0: Man of the Match

The Fire are forced to accept a draw in Orlando despite a two-man. Now, we want you to rate the Fire’s players and choose your Man of the Match.

MLS: Chicago Fire at Orlando City SC Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

This was a weird and ultimately disappointing game. Orlando were shown two red cards— one of which was pretty soft, if we’re being honest here— and responded by hunkering down for the draw. The ref made himself out to be the big story of the game, which is never a good sign. Chicago’s attackers misfired, the midfield couldn’t break Orlando down, and the substitutions were uninspiring. All this added up to Chicago’s first dropped points in a month. This is a tough game to pick someone out, but we’re going to give our MOTM nod to Matt Polster for his hard work while filling in for both Dax and Juninho in central midfield. It was a tough job and Polster availed himself as well as could be expected.

Now, let us know how you saw it. Vote for your choice for MOTM in the poll below. The poll will be open for two days, after which we’ll publicize the results. (Note: if you’re viewing this post from AMP or Apple News, you won’t see the poll below. Feel free to tell us your pick in the comments.)
