There’s no two ways around it— tonight was awful. The Red Stars’ usually stalwart defense utterly collapsed and Portland ran roughshod over us in our own home. This was embarrassing. The team will no doubt have some tough questions to answer in the days ahead. We’re going to go with Sofia Huerta as our WOTM; her first-half goal gave the Red Stars an equalizer and, all too briefly, hope.
