Chicago Fire 1, Toronto FC 3: Man of the Match

Well, at least Drew Conner played well.

MLS: Toronto FC at Chicago Fire Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Well, Chicago came into this match with an opportunity to make a statement to the league, and they flopped. Their slide continues, and Nemanja Nikolic still can’t find the back of the net. Sloppy play in all three parts of the field hurt the Fire badly tonight, as they genuinely did not look up for the occasion.

Now, with all that in mind, my MOTM would have to be Drew Conner. The Fire’s Homegrown player had a stellar performance tonight— less one mishap in the first half— as he looked dangerous every time he got the ball on the wing. With question marks remaining about Polster’s injury, I’d like to see a lot more of Conner as the season progresses.

Now let us know how you saw it. Vote for your choice for MOTM in the poll below. The poll will be open for two days, after which we’ll publicize the results. (Note: if you’re viewing this post from AMP or Apple News, you won’t see the poll below. Feel free to tell us your pick in the comments.)
