Orlando Pride 1, Chicago Red Stars 1: Woman of the Match

With several key players sitting out, some lesser-known stars took their turn to shine

It’s a credit to this team’s resiliency that, absent some of their best players and fighting fatigue and humid Florida summer weather, the Red Stars managed to get out of Orlando with a point. Following this tough but well-earned 1-1 draw, Chicago are now undefeated against Orlando in 2017. That’s no small feat. We’re going to name Sofia Huerta as our Woman Of The Match tonight for her aggressive and relentless play in the final third, as well as the goal that earned a point for her side.
