Chicago Fire 1, New York City FC 1: Man of the Match

Running up the score (kind of)

MLS: New York City FC at Chicago Fire Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight we got some of that late-season Whatevering we’ve all come to know and “love.” The players are tired and ready for the end of the season. There’s just one problem: we’ve qualified for the playoffs, and we actually had things to play for tonight (like seeding). A 1-1 draw against a Conference rival, and a team we may very well have to face in the postseason, isn’t necessarily the worst result. But the Fire probably should’ve done a little better.

We’re giving out MOTM nod to Nemanja Nikolic, who scored the Fire’s lone goal and is now on 21 for the season. Go Niko Go!

Now let us know how you saw it. Vote for your choice for MOTM in the poll below. The poll will be open for two days, after which we’ll publicize the results. (Note: if you’re viewing this post from AMP or Apple News, you won’t see the poll below. Feel free to tell us your pick in the comments.)
