Making appearances against New Zealand for the Stars & Stripes are mainstays Julie Ertz, Christen Press, Alyssa Naeher and the newly acquired Morgan Brian.
Red Stars fans can really be excited as they will be treated to possible appearances from Sofia Huerta and Casey Short.
Midfielder Sofia Huerta will not be eligible to play the first match as she awaits for approval of her change of association from FIFA. Huerta played for Mexico during the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and has five caps for the senior team. If her request is approved, she will be eligible to play for the USWNT immediately. She trained with the USWNT throughout the entirety of the Tournament of Nations.
The Lady Yanks will kickoff on first on September 15th at Dicks Sporting Good Park in Commerce City, Colorado at 8pm MT, and close the series out in Cincinnati, Ohio at Nippert Stadium on September 19th.
