Two Fire Rookies Talk About Being Roommates And It’s Kind Of Adorable

Also, Mo Adams is totally starstruck by Basti

I am not infallible. I have vices. I have frailties. One of them is that, if you offer #content that features professional sports teammates in very close friendships and/or being roommates, I am going to click the hell out of that link.

To that end: the Chicago Fire published a short video yesterday featuring 2018 rookie signings Mo Adams and Jon Bakero. As two young newcomers to the side, it’s understandable that they’d try to stick together as they try navigate some unfamiliar territory. Along the way they’ve become actual friends, and it’s... it warms the cockles of my cold, dead heart.

Also they’re roommates? Apparently?? Since the MLS Draft Combine they’ve been rooming together, and that arrangement continues into preseason training with the Men In Red. They get on each others’ nerves sometimes but for the most part they enjoy their lives together.

I am here for this.

Also in the video, Adams talks about what it’s like to train alongside the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, and how intimidating but also incredible that experience has been.

So anyway, enjoy, if you haven’t seen it already. It’s been a shit week, you probably needed something light and fun. Happy Friday, y’all.
