Ready or not, here they come.
The Chicago Fire finally kick off their 2018 campaign when they host Sporting Kansas City this afternoon. Offseason roster moves didn’t go as many fans— or, indeed, club officials— had hoped. There’s an undeniable sense that this team is incomplete and unprepared to face the new season.
But time is up. The Men In Red have to be ready today.
They face a SKC team that stumbled in Week 1 and will be anxious to get some points on the board and ease some tensions back home.
For a Week 2 fixture, both teams seem to have a lot on the line.
