“We are approaching this game as a brand new start for us.”

So says Chicago Fire head coach Veljko Paunovic ahead of Saturday’s clash with the Portland Timbers. As Act I of a doubleheader with the Chicago Red Stars, Pauno says the Fire are looking to Saturday as an opportunity to turn the page on an 0-0-2 start to the 2018 MLS season.

Star forward and MLS 2017 Golden Boot winner Nemanja Nikolic also gave his take on Saturday’s game, as well as how he’s feeling after coming back from international duty with Hungary.

The club’s in house social media team also caught up with Rafael Ramos, who is a likely candidate to continue filling in for Matt Polster.
