With two preseason friendlies in the books (allegedly), the Chicago Red Stars have started to make some adjustments with their roster.
The first bit of news involves University of Michigan alum Corinne Harris, who was cut by the team this week.
The other major news was an update on the Red Stars’ contingent of USWNT players who are currently off at the SheBelieves Cup. The last matchday of the tournament is tomorrow, with the US facing England in a must-win game for first place. Once the tournament is over, the US internationals— Julie Ertz, Sofia Huerta, Casey Short, and Alyssa Naeher— will join the Red Stars in Portland.
Sam Kerr is still with Australia at the Algarve Cup. She’ll join the squad once her national team obligations are complete.
Here’s the current roster:
GK (4): Emily Boyd (CDP), Michele Dalton, Alyssa Naeher (NYR), Ryann Torerro (NRI)
DEF (8): Taylor Comeau, Chandra Eigenberger (NRI), Indigo Gibson (CDP/NYR), Arin Gilliland, Zoey Goralski (CDP), Sarah Gorden, Sam Johnson, Katie Naughton, Casey Short (NYR)
