It’s going to be a quick mailbag today, as It’s Dominaria Pre-release this weekend, and in order to not miss the Fire-Red Bulls game at 2:30 (where I will be live tweeting @HotTimeOldTown) I’m going to the midnight prerelease. So once I’m finished with this I’m going back to bed.
I assume by Sissoko, you mean current Tottenham central midfielder Moussa Sissoko and not San Luis defensive midfielder Mohamed Sissoko (no relation).
Or his younger brother Abdoul Sissoko, a midfielder playing for Akhisar Belediyespor in Turkey.
Or maybe you mean all three. An all-Sissoko midfield does have it’s appeal to be sure.
However, Moussa is 28, and in my limited Spurs viewing experience, seems to be playing well and would be mad to leave the Premier League (even if it is Spurs). As for what he would look like in Fire Red, I think it would be a good-but-not-great signing. While he can do the job at CAM or on the right wing, he’s a box-to-box midfielder at heart.
Although now that I think about it, anything to get rid of starting Tony Tchani. 100% all for this move. 22/10 do this now N-Rod. But I doubt he’s leaving England, so whatever. It was nice to think about.
The first thing I thought when I heard the news is that SeatGeek Stadium sounds horrible. It’s a worse sounding name then Guaranteed Rate Field, and that’s saying a lot. SeatGeek Arena sounds better as naming concept, but it’s still kind of awkward. What is it about two word names that make things sound bad? There’s a reason United Center is not United Airlines Center, because United Center is an iconic name, and United Airlines Center is a garbage fire.
The Stadium needs a nickname. The Firehouse is an obvious one, and the stadium even comes with a cute dalmatian. Another option is The House Of Mediocre Repute, but that’s too long and also bad. If you have any name suggestions, feel free to post them in the comments.
Safe travels to all of the Fire fans going to New York, and bring back at least a point. Man I hope they start Katai and someone who isn’t Tony Tchani.
