So, kind of a weird night. A few players weren’t at 100%, but overall it was an admirable team performance. And good enough for a draw, on the road, against one of the best teams in the league. Hard to argue with that.
We’re going with Sam Kerr as our WOTM. Though she didn’t get on the scoresheet, her constant movement and attacking threat gave Washington problems all night. The Spirit never had a moment’s peace on their own turf, and Kerr was a big part of that. We’re excited to see what she can do as the season goes on.
