Chicago Fire 2, Houston Dynamo 3: Man Of The Match

At least someone had a good day

MLS: Houston Dynamo at Chicago Fire Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

That was demoralizing. It’s the kind of loss that makes you think you’re never going to win again. Which is nonsense, but the Abyss is staring back at us a bit here.

One Fire player had a good day though. Diego Campos got his first professional goal in the first half, briefly— all too briefly— giving the Fire a lead. That, combined with his steadily improving performances in his recent starts and his solid attacking threat for most of today, is why we’re giving him our MOTM nod. Enjoy your first goal, kid. You always remember your first.

Now let us know how you saw it. Vote for your choice for MOTM in the poll below. The poll will be open for two days, after which we’ll publicize the results. (Note: if you’re viewing this post from AMP or Apple News, you won’t see the poll below. Feel free to tell us your pick in the comments.)
