Chicago Fire 1, Atlanta United 2: Man Of The Match

Another disappointing night

MLS: Atlanta United FC at Chicago Fire Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

On the brightside, keeping one of the most potent attacking teams in MLS to a 2-1 scoreline isn’t bad. The result remains the same, but the Fire were in it right up until the end. At this point, we’ve got to take positives anywhere we can.

And on that note, we’re going with Johan Kappelhof as our MOTM this week. His tireless, stalwart work on the defensive line kept an Atlanta attack mostly contained and prevented a blowout loss at home. Say what you will about the rest of the backline, Kap is definitely a bright spot right now.

Now let us know how you saw it. Vote for your choice for MOTM in the poll below. The poll will be open for two days, after which we’ll publicize the results. (Note: if you’re viewing this post from AMP or Apple News, you won’t see the poll below. Feel free to tell us your pick in the comments.)
