Strong individual performances helped steal a point in NC

By rights we shouldn’t have gotten a result out of this game. But #ScamGang doesn’t care about all that #ScamGang doesn’t care about your table position or if you’ve got a doctor’s appointment. #ScamGang is coming for your shit.

NC had 40+ shots today and only managed one goal. While plenty of Chicago players had great games today— Sam Kerr with her first goal as a Red Star and Sarah Gorden making a strong case for a starter spot come to mind— we have to give our WOTM nod to Alyssa Naeher. Her 12 saves— yes, 12— prevented what could’ve been a heavy loss and got her team out of there with a point.

Now let us know how you saw it. Vote for your choice for WOTM in the poll below. The poll will be open for two days, after which we’ll publicize the results. (Note: if you’re viewing this post from AMP or Apple News, you won’t see the poll below. Feel free to tell us your pick in the comments.)
