We did it!

MLS: U.S. Open Cup-Atlanta United FC vs Chicago Fire Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

A lot of fans— including me— thought that our USOC run was going to end tonight. Somehow, somehow, this team found a way forward. My goodness.

We’re giving our MOTM nod to Nemanja Nikolic. His go-ahead goal and his constant threat in front of goal are the reason we’re going through to the quarterfinals.

Honorable mention given to the Big Handsome German, whose tireless (and just a teensy bit violent) work in midfield helped keep a strong Atlanta attacking line on mute.

(Yes, we know the Fire player in the photo is Luis Solignac. Your jokes aren’t funny.)

Now let us know how you saw it. Vote for your choice for MOTM in the poll below. The poll will be open for two days, after which we’ll publicize the results. (Note: if you’re viewing this post from AMP or Apple News, you won’t see the poll below. Feel free to tell us your pick in the comments.)
