One of the Chicago Fire’s worst-kept secrets is now out in the open.
The club held a big media event at the Wrigley Building in downtown Chicago to reveal their new home and away kits for 2019 and announce their new shirt sponsor.
As part of the reveal, the club announced Motorola as the new shirt sponsor.
“We’re extremely excited to announce our new jersey partnership with Motorola,” said club COO John Urban. “Motorola is a globally recognized brand that, similar to our Club, is proud of its Chicago roots. We look forward to introducing the Motorola brand to the diverse audience that exists within MLS and the sport of soccer.”
The press released noted that the team will “utilize Motorola smartphones and accessories to produce captivating, player-driven social and digital media content.” Okiedokie!
