The Full 2019 Fire Season Is Out

Say goodbye to your weekends

MLS: D.C. United at Chicago Fire Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

We’re still recovering from the holidays— as well as a dismal 2018 campaign— but the 2019 Chicago Fire season is already barreling towards us.

Ahead of the 2019 SuperDraft on Friday, MLS released the full schedule for the upcoming season this afternoon.

The league offered a preview of the schedule shortly before Christmas, revealing that The Men In Red will kick 2019 off on the road against the LA Galaxy on March 2nd. Their home opener at the re-christened SeatGeek Stadium will be held the following week against Orlando City on the 9th.

Now we’ve got the full slate to pore over.

Some noteworthy dates:

  • The Fire won’t have to line up against the defending MLS Cup champions until June. They’ll face Atlanta United on the road on June 1st. They’ll host ATL a month later on July 3rd, during what will probably be the Fire’s annual 4th Of July promotional game.
  • We’ll face That Yellow Team for the first time since they were bought out at home on July 17th. The return fixture will be on August 31st in Columbus.
  • The Fire will play FC Cincinnati for the first time in MLS at home on July 13th, with the away game happening on Sept. 21st.
  • The last home game of the season is scheduled for September 29th against Toronto FC. The regular season will come to a (likely ignominious) end the following weekend when we face Orlando City on the road on Oct. 6th.

You can check out the entire 2019 Fire schedule below.
